We are a small, independent pet care business covering Bristol. We provide services including dog walking, pet visits, pet sitting and puppy training. Lucy is the founder and owner of Puppy Tales. She grew up in Kent where she dreamed of having a house full of animals. In 2016 she moved to Bristol and got her puppy, Nova a Dobermann alongside having another dog, Ace the Vizsla, Dexter the Cat and Thor and Loki the Guinea pigs. Since getting Nova, her passion and love for animals grew and she decided to create Puppy Tales

Lucy and Alex have been brilliant with my Boston Terrier – so reliable and trustworthy, I know they look after him as if he was their own. They’ve done an amazing job of choosing which other dogs he goes on his walks with, he’s changed from being nervy and reactive to friendly and confident all thanks to their patience and care
Such good value training for our dog Bruno. When we got Bruno he was scared to go out of the front door and did not pay us much attention. Lucy was so calm, friendly and patient with us and Bruno and gave us some really great achievable games and things to keep working on.

I’m Michelle and dogs have been my passion for as long as I can remember. After a period working in the Behaviour Team at a local rescue, I moved to Bristol and started Cleary Canines and Puppy School Bristol. Now, after many years of working with dogs of all ages, I’m once again returning to Early Years, but puppies not children! As with children, I believe learning should be fun, ideally through play, and should never involve any form of force or punishment

We did puppy training with Michelle and had a 121 session. Michelle is down to earth, understanding, patience and very generous with her time. Her advice was easy to follow, fun and gentle.. We all enjoyed the classes, even on line it worked surprisingly well! Highly recommend her and we’ll be attending her future classes too.
Michelle has helped us get to grips with an exciteable labrador pub, as first time dog owners. The classes are very friendly and reassuring and Michelle’s advice has been very helpful.

Michelle is an amazing training. She has helped us with two puppies. We still ask for advice now and Michelle is always happy to help.

What We Offer:

We never stop learning, and nor do our dogs. The majority of the dogs that we keep as pets were bred for generations to complete tasks and work alongside people.. Behaviour problems are the most common reason that dogs are rehomed. Through training it is possible to teach puppies (and old dogs too!) what we require from them and prevent them from developing serious behaviour issues such as aggression or anxiety.

I’ve really enjoyed working with Nick and the team. I wanted to build confidence in my 1 year old sprocker who’s very shy in new situations. The scentwork course has been the best thing for her! She’s learnt a great new skill and has come on leaps and bounds in her confidence. She’s gone from cowering behind me to interacting with all the other dogs and humans. 

Fantastic dog training and human training too! Absolutely loved the puppy then the plus classes we did and we learnt so much. The husbandry work we have done in class and worked on at home really came in when my pup had conjunctivitis and we needed to put in eye drops.

Fantastic training from the guys at HoundPlus. Our Golden Retriever puppy Florence learned so much from the training and honestly has made such a difference in her! Would recommend these guys to anyone, and will definitely be back for more of the follow up training in the future.
