OK place for a steak. I do have some mixed feelings, though. The meat we had was really solid however the dirty fries were a bit too dry and mac & cheese too salty. It’s nice to sit outside, inside it looks slightly unusual. They have however really good proces, especially if you order wine for the table.
STOP! Look no further. THIS is the place to come for steak. I’m an avid steak house connoisseur, having been to places all over the world. This is in the top 3 places I’ve ever eaten. You can have a steak at any size. Sides were amazing. They have local cider, which was really tasty. Staff are super friendly. Outside area is nice, and heated as well.
The waitress was so lovely and made sure everyone dining there this evening had everything they needed. Would recommend and would go back! Thanks Steak me out.

Good service although it took a while for us to get seats then to get served. Ribeye I ordered was un even so with uneven cooking, rare where more thick, medium where more thin but it was good. Fries and stroganoff sauce to complete the dish. Local Ale beer was served a bit too cold.

My girlfriend and I have just visited Bar + Block for the first time. Exceptional service from Becca and the steak was cooked perfectly. As somebody who has eaten at many of Bristol’s top steak restaurants, I would highly recommend Bar + Block.
Quite tasty steaks, very good and rich menu, nice and helpful staff (but still not very well experienced). The place looks and feels very American, all renewed and designed appropriately. Comfortable to stay there. All the steaks were very good, just salt missed there. I guess it is very depends on a taste. Good place, hope next time it will be five stars, it has all potential for that!

Hubby booked table for our 1st wedding anniversary. Our waitress was amazing. She was very meticulous with our dietary needs. Also observant & attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a fabulous time.
We had an amazing meal tonight, our server was Ben (Bence) who talked us through the menu as we hadn’t been before, the food was just incredible, as was the service, we felt so welcome, and had the best experience. We had the butcher’s block with three sides, cocktails, bottle of wine and it was reasonable for the price v quality.
I’ve never yet had a bad experience with Miller & Carter. This was the first time at this particular branch and it didn’t disappoint. A beautifully decorated restaurant in a beautiful old building. The service and the food was brilliant, as always.
